BEGINNING OF THE PEUGEOT INDUSTRIAL ADVENTURE
The family business PEUGEOT was founded in 1810 by Jean-Frédéric and Jean-Pierre II. They converted the family hydraulic mill located at “Sous-Crate” in the commune of Hérimoncourt (Doubs) into a steelworks. Different branches of the family grew the business into steel-based products, such as tools, springs, umbrella whales, corset frames, coffee grinders, watches, bicycles, etc.
